Twitch Launches Holiday Emote Event "HAHAHAlidays"

Twitch has just launched a new emote event on the platform, and it’s one of the best ones yet featuring familiar memes customized for the holiday. The event is being called the “Happy HAHAHAlidays”, and features 25 different emotes that can be unlocked through a combination of bits and subscriptions. Like all previous Emote Events, emotes are ‘gifted’ to random members in the chat whenever a MegaCheer occurs, and new this time around includes subscriptions and gifted subs.

What’s especially ‘nice’ about this campaign is that they used some emote artists from the community including AlyIllustrate and AwkwardBuns. I suspect both of them will be exceptionally busy with commissions moving forward – because they did an amazing job with these emotes!

The HAHAHAlidays are here! All month long, when you subscribe to a channel, gift a Sub, or cheer using Bits, you’ll unlock special holiday emotes designed by Twitch artists @Alyillustrate and @AwkwardBuns.

There are a total of 10 emotes that can be unlocked with bits. The threshold for unlocking them and what they offer are as follows:

300 Bits unlocks 1 emote for the cheerer, and 3 emotes are gifted to the community.
500 Bits unlocks 2 emotes for the cheerer, and 10 emotes are gifted to the community.
100 Bits unlocks 5 emotes for the cheerer, and 25 emotes are gifted to the community.
5000 Bits unlocks ALL 10 emotes for the cheerer, and 150 emotes are gifted to the community.

There are a total of 15 emotes that can be unlocked with subscriptions, resub, Twitch Prime subs, and gifted subscriptions. The threshold for unlocking them and what they offer are as follows:

1 Subscription unlocks 1 emote for the subscriber/gifter, and 5 emotes are gifted to the community.
5 Subscriptions unlock 5 emotes for the subscriber/gifter, and 25 emotes are gifted to the community.
10 Subscriptions unlock 7 emotes for the subscriber/gifter, and 50 emotes are gifted to the community.
20 Subscriptions unlock ALL 15 emotes for the subscriber/gifter, and 100 emotes are gifted to the community.
50 Subscriptions unlock ALL 15 emotes for the subscriber/gifter, and 250 emotes are gifted to the community.
100 Subscriptions unlocks ALL 15 emotes for the subscriber/gifter, and 500 emotes are gifted to the community.

Happy HAHAHAlidays are a Limited Event

The HAHAHAlidays emote event is a limited-time event! The period starts today, December 3rd, and closes on January 3rd, 2020. The emotes are also (not currently) slated to be permanent. They will expire and you will have no access to them after January 31st, 2020.

HOWEVER, if you collect ALL the Subscription emotes – you keep the two most popular ones permanently. This is also true of Bits emotes – if you manage to unlock ALL of them, you will keep two.
